This is a privacy policy that applies to the Shield Audit, the domain and all sub pages, that outlines how we interact with users, the data we collect, and your right to access. The only information we collect from users is their IP address, which is used to measure analytics, monitor website usage, the overall performance of our site, and how we can make it better for you. If you sign up for our newsletter, we collect your email address and name, which are stored on a third party newsletter server called Mailerlite. We are not responsible for how Mailerlite uses your information. You can read their privacy policy for more information. We do not sell your data, nor using it for any purpose other than sending our newsletter.

The data will be retained until you opt out of our email list by unsubscribing.

Our affiliate programs only collect data from you if and when you click on our links. This is a tracking tag that simply tells them that you came from our site. This is then used to compensate us, at no extra cost to you.

Data Sharing

Unless required by law, we do not share any personal information with law enforcement or government agencies. This could be a valid subpoena, FOIA request, court order, or other legal proceeding. In the event of an acquisition or merger, your data will be retained in the same way that it is now, as part of the merging agreement. 

Data Security

The names and email addresses collected through our site are behind Mailerlite's backend, which is highly secure. Your Our website is secured by WordPress and strong passwords. Those on our mailing list will be notified in the event of a data breach.

Data Retention

Cookie retention per IP address lasts for 30 days, unless you change settings in your browser. Once cookies reach the 30-day mark, it is removed and no longer accessible to us. Names and email addresses provided through our newsletter sign up are kept until removal is requested by the owner of that information.

User Rights

You have the right to access and control your personal data, as well as the right to opt-out of data collection. You can do this by unsubscribing from our newsletter, or adjusting the cookie settings in your browser.
